Signing in

Tickmarks has no passwords. Enter your email on the sign-in page and we email you a link that signs you in.

  • The email hasn't arrived. Give it a few minutes, then check your Spam or Junk folder. School email systems sometimes hold mail from new senders; search for "Tickmarks".
  • The link says it has expired. Each link works once and lasts 15 minutes. Request a new one from the sign-in page.
  • It signed you in on the wrong device. Open the link on the device you want to use. Signing in on one device doesn't sign you out of another.
  • You're new. Students join with the class code from their instructor on the join page, or start with a free case.

Playing a case

  • Records are pushed back. Some records are released only once you can say why you need them. Read the pushback; it names what to look at first.
  • Hours run out. Every request costs hours from the case budget, pushed-back ones included. Once the budget is spent, no more records can be requested; answer the remaining questions with the evidence you have.
  • The finding. Once every question is answered, you file one finding: who was involved, the scheme, the loss and the records that prove it. It can't be changed after it's filed.

For instructors

Create a class, share its join code, and assign cases from the case library, where you can preview every case and its answers first. To set up an instructor account, email admin@playtickmarks.com from your school address.

Your data

To get a copy of your data or to delete your account, email admin@playtickmarks.com from the address you sign in with. We'll confirm it's you and reply within 30 days. The privacy policy says what we keep and why.
